Award winning Airlink^™ and MetroLink^™ broadband solutions coming nationwide

August 9th, 2010 – Lagos, Nigeria - Gateway Business Nigeria announces the launch of wireless broadband services in six states (Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Kano and Kaduna) in the first stage of a national roll out. The expansion follows Gateway’s successful roll out of the AirlinkT™ wireless internet and Metrolink™ broadband solutions in Lagos.

Gateway Business’ broadband wireless access provides organisations with fast and secure broadband connectivity, for reliable last-mile service, without the risk of potential interruptions and downtime on a terrestrial (fibre) “local loop”. AirLink™ or MetroLink™ can be installed and activated in a single day, giving customers immediate connectivity.

AirLink™ is a true broadband internet service offering cost effective access at speeds up to 8Mbps for each site where it is installed. MetroLink™ allows companies with multiple offices in a metropolitan area to inter-connect those offices securely  through a Virtual Private Network (VPN), and has proved to be an ideal solution for banks, consumer goods distribution centres, fuel stations or any other organization with multiple offices

Gateway Business Nigeria will roll out high speed access services across five further states before end 2010;  Benin, Abia, Onitsha, Enugu and Warri. The company has committed to complete the roll out of the network to 36 states in two further phases. This furthers Gateway Business’ drive to build a pan-African Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network that covers every major African city based on terrestrial (fibre) infrastructure with access to submarine cable.
